What is Endometriosis?

It is a condition where the endometrial tissue that is the lining of the uterus, is found outside the uterus. This happens due to retrograde flow of blood from the uterus upwards during menstruation. Symptoms Painful menses

GnRH injections are very effective and cause a pseudo menopause like state. Surgical

Laparoscopic surgery can be offered to women with large endometriotic cysts

Even adhesions due to endometriosis can be handled laproscopically.

Patients trying to conceive usually require a surgical treatment since hormonal treatment cannot be offered to them .
